Intermountain Mythology
Bryce Lafferty
Located: The Gallery at Bloch Hall
Opening Reception & Gallery Talk: March 9, 2022, 4 to 6 pm

Bryce Lafferty’s landscape drawings emerge as poetic expressions of his wonderment for the natural world. They are almost always based on actual places that he has visited and are the result of an internal process that involves meshing together memories with categorical knowledge, like science, philosophy, or history.

THE CRUCIBLE PROJECT
Kenneth Baskin, Richard Hirsch, Scott Meyer, Michael Rogers
Reception/Gallery Talk:
Oct 28, 4-6 pm

Through deft manipulation, fire, earth, air and water are made as poetic as they are palpable. Here again, the central tool is the crucible; one of history’s most indelible and pervasive icons for actual and symbolic transformation. The pieces in this exhibition evidence the artists both as individuals and as participants in creative dialogue with pieces owing to the shared vision of the group.
